Polygondwanaland LPs are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday the 24th.
Our pressing plant, Pirates Press just shipped the Polygondwanaland LPs to us. We will have them very soon! As soon as we get them, we’ll be working around the clock packaging up and shipping each one of your orders!
Now would be a good time to remind everyone to make sure your shipping address is accurate! If you have an address change to make, email weirdojace@gmail.com or message the Needlejuice Facebook page.
Cassette nerds will be happy to know that the Polygondwanaland cassettes have arrived and are now shipping! These are Dolby B noise reduction compatible, yellow cassettes with full color inserts and labels, and they’re only $4 + shipping. As of now there are only about 30 left!
Polygondwanaland CDs (which are shipping now too) are still in stock as well.

Ever wanted to see a test pressing of a picture disc? Well here you go– a piece of clear vinyl with a plain white sheet inside! We received these test pressings last week, which of course, are for our third Polygondwanaland variant: the 45 RPM “Polygon Infinity” Decagon-Shaped Picture Disc, shown below. |
There are still about 100 of these left. This is a very special short-run variant and once they’re gone, they’re gone! These will start shipping a few weeks after the “Crumbling Polycolor” and “Fourth Colour” variants ship.
We’ve primarily been using Facebook as a means of communication, and finally sat down and made a Twitter account. If you’d like to follow us there, head on over to see posts from us from all corners of the internet!
Alright, that’s it for right now. The Poly records are officially on their way to us. See you when they get here!
Greetings, everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.
Got a little status report for you: we have the official word from Pirates Press that the Polygondwanaland LPs will be finished in two weeks! Shipping will begin immediately once we have them. The moment we’ve all been waiting for will be upon us soon!!
Polygondwanaland CDs are now shipping. As of now we have 40 left.
Polygondwanaland cassettes are currently in production. As of now we have 38 left. (Also, they’ll have Dolby NR!)
Polygondwanaland decagon-shaped 10″ 45 RPM picture discs have entered the test pressing phase. As we did with the original Polygondwanaland LPs, we’ll be sending email updates showcasing the test pressings and updating you about the production of these records. Only 250 of these will be made! Hang them on a hook. Put them on display.
Thank you so much, everyone. See you in two weeks with a mountain of boxes full of records.
We received the test pressings from Pirates Press last week and they sound absolutely wonderful. The plant has moved forward with production, and at this point we just have to wait for the entire run of 1000 records to arrive. We’re just as on the edge of our seats as you are! Note that test pressings don’t come on colored vinyl.
A fair amount of you must be wondering, “Hey what about those CDs and cassettes?” I’m happy to let you all know that they’re officially now in production. Since Beau Micheli did the final design layout of the LP, we decided to have him do the CD and cassette artwork as well. Note that mock-ups above aren’t 100% accurate and the tape will have a yellow shell, not a black shell. The CDs will have a digipak case. The cassettes will have Dolby B noise reduction applied, so if you have a cassette player with that capability, you’re in luck!
Turnaround time on the CDs and cassettes should be quicker than the LPs, and will likely end up being the first orders shipped.
There will be 100 copies of each format. As of now, about 40 cassettes are left.

And finally, we’ve officially placed the order for 250 copies of this amazing decagon-shaped picture disc. We’re also happy to announce that this picture disc is made to be played at 45 RPM, to preserve the best possible sound quality. We should be getting the test pressings for this variant very soon.
Thank you all again for the incredible amount of support. We can’t wait to get these products delivered to you.
Today we sent out a mailing list message that included the projected back cover for our Poly release. Quite a few brave individuals messaged me back with a polite suggestion to change it. We went with the one we went with because it fits this brick motif we were going for, but I can see the appeal of our 2nd option (designed by the dashing and worldly Beau Micheli).
The finalization of our order form doesn’t go through until tomorrow anyway and switching the back cover is just a matter of flipping one layer to another in Photoshop. So we’re putting the decision in your hands.
#1 – simple brick
#2 – circular craziness
Which back cover should we use?

Welcome to the first email update from Needlejuice Records! We’re so excited for you to come along this journey into bringing a King Gizzard album to vinyl.
First off, an announcement!
We sold 1 variant, you guys bought the hell out of it. We added another, you bought the hell out of that too. You are all amazing. THANK YOU for all the incredible support over the past few days. It’s been an unbelievable experience and we’re so very psyched to be making these for you.
That’s why we’re announcing this super ambitious third variant. This is the big one. The one we hoped we would be able to get to. Available now is the insane double 10″ decagon-shaped picture disk variant: POLYGON INFINITY. It’s a companion piece to the Nonagon Infinity picture disc from last year. Polygondwanaland has 1 more song than Nonagon Infinity, so it gets one more side to its shape.
As you might imagine, these cost more to press than a standard LP. We’re pricing them at $30 + shipping. Click here to order your copy.
Another neat thing!
We were given a shout-out in this NME article/interview with Stu Mackenzie. So huge thank you to them for that.
NOW, LET’S TALK ABOUT THOSE RECORDS.
We’ve talked before in various internet spaces about how the pressing plant we’re using is Pirates Press, a plant that some friends of ours had turned us onto while we were still talking about starting the label months ago. Coincidentally, we also found out that this is a plant that King Gizzard themselves have used in the past.
Currently, we’re in the final stages of getting the artwork together. King Gizzard definitely put us to work by providing a minimal amount of artwork to use!
Fortunately, this is a badass new piece of artwork that was given to us by Eduardo da Floresta for the back cover. The record sleeve will be gatefold. And we’re currently working on the artwork templates not just for the vinyl, but for the CDs and cassettes as well. Lots of work, but very rewarding.
We’re hoping to place the orders for the first 1000 records (both variants, split 600/400) sometime this weekend, if possible. The minute the order with Pirates Press is placed, we’ll be letting you know about the status of everything, how long it’s going to take to get from the pressing plant to us– and then we’ll be giving you all progress reports on shipping the actual products to your doorstep. The orders for the brand new picture disc version will be placed at a later date, and we’ll be giving updates as we move forward with it as well. It’s going to be a long journey and we’re happy to be embarking on it with you.
Thank you so much for the love and support you’ve given us in the wake of our unexpected early launch.
This is our craziest, most ambitious idea yet: POLYGON INFINITY. A double 10″ decagon-shaped picture disc companion piece to last year’s Nonagon Infinity picture disc. As you might imagine, these cost more to press than a standard LP. We’re pricing them at $30 + shipping, and there will be only 500 of them.
Welcome to the new Needlejuice Records site. Soon to be brimming with all kinds of delightful, purchasable goods. Well, perhaps not all kinds. Like, probably music mediums mostly, some shirts too, maybe. In any case, some kinds of buyable items.
Needlejuice, squeezing out the jams since now.
