ABOUT THE ALBUM

SPECULOOS, or, "Search for habitable Planets EClipsing ULtra​​​-​​​cOOl Stars," is... well, it's a space observatory project with locations in Chile and Spain. Leema took it upon himself to craft a three-part psychedelic rock odyssey about it. Spanning 34 minutes in length, the piece is a love letter to space exploration, coupled with the existential anxiety of climate change, with a sci-fi narrative woven through. The piece also draws heavy inspiration from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, a band that Leema states inspired him to pick up music again after a long break. Share
